Good Friday 24 Hour Prayer Vigil

Thought the history of the church there has been a custom to pause between Good Friday and Easter morning to 'keep watch' in prayer.  If on Good Friday we descend into the darkness of Christ's crucifixion, on Holy Saturday we experience what it is to wait in expectation of God's powerful action which we celebrate on Easter Morning.  So this Holy Week, we too will pause for prayer in between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

The prayer vigil was originally proposed as a way to take specific time to pray for the youth of our church as they face the unprecedented challenges of adolescence in the digital age.  While we will still focus on the young people of our church and community, we invite you to take time to pray for the church (local and universal) and the cause of the gospel in our world which desperately needs the hope found only in Jesus Christ.

The Vigil will take place from 7pm on Good Friday (immediately following our service) and end at 7pm on Saturday.  A room will be set up in the foyer in which you can pray.  If you would like, you may also pray in our prayer journey which will be set up downstairs.

For your safety, we will be providing security for the entire 24 hours.
